Kidney Herbal Tincture
This kidney herbal tincture is made from high quality herbs and ingredients — some of which may have grown in my garden! If you are suffering from kidney problems, this tincture is for you! This tincture helps as an overall kidney tonic as well as a duretic. It also strengthens your kidneys.
Astragalus: A classic energy tonic that improves physical endurance by helping the body adapt to external stressful influences. Has been used since ancient times in traditional Chinese medicine as a warming (yang) tonic. Thought to control body fluids such as excessive sweating, night sweats, and relieve fluid retention.
Chamomile: is specific for use in all kinds of gastrointestinal disturbances associated with nervous irritability in the treatment of IBS and colitis. It’s safe to use in children and it’s powerful anti-inflammatory actions make it useful in almost any condition. Topically is is wound healing and a mild anesthetic useful for rheumatic & muscular pains and neuralgia.
Nettle: A chlorophyll-rich plant dense with nourishment. it is a powerful detoxifying, blood building tonic that can be used daily for overall vitality, even (especially!) when pregnant or nursing. also indicated for arthritis, myalgia, allergies, eczema, anemia, bleeding, hemorrhage, inflammation and any issue of the kidneys or excretory (+skin) system.
Cleavers: One of the best remedies for swollen glands, cleavers can help with many lymphatic issues like edema or swelling. It combines well with urinary demulcents to relieve painful bladder & urinary irritations, stones & gravel, or other obstructions.
Burdock: Burdock’s medicine is today most often associated with supporting the liver and skin. Burdock is a bitter digestive stimulant and supporter of kidney function. Burdock can soothe inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, dandruff & acne.
Dandelion Leaf: the leaf is a uniquely safe diuretic that replenishes potassium while releasing water and acts as a bitter for digestion.
Parsley Leaf: Reduction of the severity and intensity of kidney spasms. Increases urine flow, may reduce the formation of kidney stones, and may help prevent urinary tract infections.
Herbal tinctures as medicine
Why are tinctures a preferred method of taking herbs? Because tinctures are potent! You don’t waste your money on pills that have been in the manufacturing process for months / years and lose potency! With an alcohol base, the tinctures pull out all the medicinal benefits of the plant, and preserve them naturally for you! They don’t lose potency over time.
With that being said, they are in a non-gmo vodka base. Which is fine for most people. But some people prefer to avoid alcohol in all forms. (even by avoiding real vanilla extract) and we support that choice. These tinctures aren’t for those people. Because of the potential for bacteria to reside in glycerine tinctures, we have decided to only offer vodka based tinctures. These herbs are edible and considered safe for most people. Some people may be allergic to certain herbs and should not use them. It is always best to consult your doctor before using any herbal product if you are taking prescription medications or have a health condition.

DIRECTIONS: Take 20-30 drops 2-3x per day as needed, in juice or tea.
